Most small businesses in Aarhus know they "should do more" on social media and online. But without a marketing department — and with a day that's already full — it often ends in sporadic posts and a guilty conscience. The good news: you don't need to do a lot. You need to do the right thing, consistently.
Start with one question: what are your customers searching for?
Good content doesn't start with "what do we want to say?", but with "what are our customers looking for?". If people write to you with the same questions again and again, that's your content gold mine. Every question is a blog post, a post or a video that can be found on Google and answer for you — even while you sleep.
You don't need to be everywhere
It's a classic trap: trying to be on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube all at once — and doing it half-heartedly everywhere. Choose one, at most two channels where your customers actually are, and be good there. Better strong on a few than mediocre on all.
Genuine content beats perfect content
Small businesses have an advantage the big ones envy: you're genuine. A real photo of yourselves, your workshop or your customer beats a polished stock image every time — because people buy from people they can feel. Use it. Don't hide behind generic, AI-generated content that sounds like everyone else's.
A rhythm you can keep
Consistency beats intensity. One good post a week for a year is worth more than 30 posts in a month and then silence. Build a rhythm that fits your everyday:
- →Plan a fixed content day each month where you make several things at once.
- →Reuse: one blog post can become several posts, a video and a newsletter.
- →Use tools to schedule posts ahead, so it doesn't depend on someone remembering.
When does it make sense to get help?
When the content work either isn't getting done, or steals the time you should spend on your actual business, it's time for help. It doesn't have to be a full marketing department — a permanent partner who takes on planning, production and posting costs less than most think, and frees you up for what you do best.
That's exactly what we do for small and medium-sized businesses in Aarhus. Want the content work off your desk? Book a free, no-obligation consultation — and we'll make a plan together.
